Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Concepcion.Work collects through this website, why, who else sees it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect what you send us through the contact form and the technical data every browser shares, we use it to answer you and to keep the site running and secure, and we do not sell it.

Who we are

Concepcion.Work is an advertising, SEO and AI operations practice based in Austin, Texas, run by Allan Concepcion. This policy covers www.concepcion.work (the "site"). In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Concepcion.Work.

Questions about this policy or your information: allan@concepcion.work.

What we collect

What you send us. If you use the contact form we receive the name, work email address, company, the kind of work you need, your budget range, the project goal and any message you write, and the page you sent it from. If you email us or book a call, we receive what you write and what you enter on the booking page.

What your browser shares. When you visit, our hosting and our analytics receive your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you and the time of each request.

What stays on your device. If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in your browser (local storage, under the name cw-theme). It is not sent to us.

Services we use on the site

A few services run on the site and may receive your IP address and technical data when a page loads or when you use the form:

  • Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) counts visits and shows us which pages and sources matter. It may set cookies or similar identifiers.
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 protects the contact form from automated abuse. It analyses how the page is used to tell people from bots and shares that data with Google. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
  • Akismet (from Automattic) checks contact form messages for spam. It receives the message you write, your name and email address, the page you sent it from, your IP address and browser details, and answers whether the message looks like spam. Automattic's Privacy Policy applies.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site uses, so your browser requests them from Google.
  • UserWay provides an accessibility toolbar and may store your accessibility preferences in your browser.
  • Koalendar handles call bookings. The booking page belongs to Koalendar and is covered by its own privacy policy.
  • Email delivery and hosting providers transmit and store the messages the form sends and the files the site is served from.

Cookies

We do not set advertising cookies and we do not use the site to track you across other websites. The third-party services above may set their own cookies or identifiers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them, although blocking them can make the form's spam check fail.

How we use information

  • To answer your inquiry, prepare a proposal and keep a record of the conversation.
  • To run, secure and improve the site, including detecting spam and abuse.
  • To understand which pages and sources bring people to the site.
  • To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it. We may follow up on an inquiry you sent us.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers described above so they can do their part, with professionals who advise us, when the law requires it, or if the business is sold or merged (in which case we will tell you if your information becomes subject to a different policy).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising across other companies' sites.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages and emails for as long as we need them to respond and to keep our business records, and then delete them. Form messages are also stored in the site's admin area. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account. Ask us if you want something deleted sooner.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live, including Texas and California, you may have additional rights, such as receiving a copy of your information or objecting to certain uses. Email allan@concepcion.work and we will respond within the time the law allows. We may need to confirm who you are first.

To opt out of Google Analytics, use Google's browser add-on or your browser's privacy settings.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No website or email is completely secure, so please do not send us passwords, payment card numbers or other sensitive information through the contact form.

Children

The site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Other websites and where data is processed

The site links to other websites, such as the booking page. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version, and changes take effect when they are posted here.
